Testimonies
Dr. Al-Hammouri was a minister who rejected the pre-peace orientations and treaties, and constitutionally, he does not need anyone's testimony. He was Arab, nationalistic, and did not compromise with authority, not even with a single word. He, in my opinion, is an example of a man who did not tarnish his name, his village, or his country with hypocritical positions! Dr. Al-Hammouri, may God have mercy on you.
Zuqan 'Ubaidat
Former Jordanian Delegate to UNESCO
I first heard the name of Dr. Professor Mohammad Al-Hammouri when he resigned along with a number of his Arab minister colleagues from the Jordanian government after its decision to participate in the Madrid Peace Conference in 1991. I admired his principles and his willingness, along with his colleagues, to step away from positions that many aspire to. Despite his high scholarly status and the high ministerial positions he held, the great man remained committed to his simplicity, humility, and kindness towards all those who knew him, who now deeply feel the loss of him.
